My history with Dare to Lead™. . .

Like many of you, I have loved and followed the work of Dr. Brené Brown through her TED Talks, books, and interviews. Here are some great links to Brené videos and her podcasts.

So, in the fall of 2018, when Brené’s leadership book, Dare to Lead™, was released, I was inspired by the ways in which she had operationalized essential ideas from her work for leaders and organizations and the world of work. I knew I wanted to apply.

The road to the Dare to Lead™ certification was rigorous — and, like every worthwhile thing in life, the focused effort of prep and learning was commensurate with a return. Brené and her exceptional team offered a thorough approach to the material and on-point professionalism. Beautiful work—beautifully transmitted.

This Dare to Lead™ work enables leaders at all levels of the organization to grow teams with more open dialogue and greater transparency, strengthening adaptability to change, problem-solving skills, and honest conversations. The Dare to Lead™ training lays foundations of psychological safety that reduce the worry of being seen as ignorant, incompetent, negative, or disruptive and enable people to have the courage to speak up, ask questions, and share ideas and feedback.  Most importantly, participants develop the skills and confidence they need to answer the call for dynamic, courageous leadership in their lives and work.

“Fantastic [learning] environment of trust and safety.”

“Tasnim made the space feel really safe to be brave individually and as small groups.”

“Her ability to create empathy in the room created an environment of open discussion and sharing of personal stories of challenge and difficulty. I was struck by the participants’ willingness to share deeply impactful memories. Much credit goes to Tasnim. Two of the participants were a married couple of many decades, and one was astonished to hear stories her husband had never shared before.”

“[I experienced a] deep dive into what’s blocking me at work, and I finally, truly connected to my authentic values. Very impactful learning.”

─ Organizational Development Professional with over 25 years in the workplace

“Tasnim quickly established rapport with participants and masterfully created a safe container for conversations which required vulnerability. Tasnim is a skilled facilitator of ideas, drew on her extensive experience with various organizations and was considered to be highly credible. She took the time to really understand the organization's priorities and group's needs prior to the session.”

─ Senior Leader, US Government Federal Agency

“The entire workshop was amazing!!! I really felt that Tasnim knew the content well, and it is a part of who she is as a facilitator and a leader. She met everyone where they were, she facilitated sensitive conversations and digging deep emotionally for all participants.”

“I left with so much knowledge, understanding, and a desire to continue to unpack the content even more as I continue processing my new learning.”
